Year 7 ‘Play in a Day’ performance

Banbury’s youth-focused Cherwell Theatre Company invited students at Chipping Norton School to stage a ‘Play in a Day’. The play, ‘The Changing Room’ by Chris Bush, was rehearsed over a school day with students working in collaboration with professional theatre-makers, then performed at The Theatre, Chipping Norton. Set in and around a swimming pool, ‘The Changing Room’ follows a group of teenagers full of excitement, impatience and uncertainty. They know change is coming, but not what it will look like. This hilarious yet thought-provoking production explores transition and the onset of adolescence and was presented in partnership with The Theatre Chipping Norton and West Oxfordshire District Council.
