Priority review deadline for those waiting for a review for a university place – 20 August 2024
Request a script for GCSE to help you decide if you would like to request a review by 5 September 2024
All other reviews and requests for scripts for teaching and learning 20 September 2024
The process of reviewing qualification marks with exam boards carries fees, and these will be charged to you at cost, for summer 2023. The fees vary depending on the examination board used for your qualification. In this document we have summarised the fee information you will need, and provided a link to the full fees information on each exam board’s website.
Please remember that exam boards do not re-mark your work, they simply check the calculations are correct (the adding up of your marks up has been done correctly etc.) during a clerical check, and check the marking criteria has been applied correctly by the examiner who marked your paper, during a review of marking.
During any review of marking, or clerical check, results could go up, or down, or stay the same.
This means, if your marks (and grade) go down you will not keep the higher result, and an appeal for a review of marking cannot be withdrawn once a decision has been made, please be certain you want to request a service before you begin.
Fees are shown per component/ paper, for example if you wanted a review of both papers for GCSE Biology, you would need to pay 2 x the fee shown, or if you wanted 1 out of 3 papers reviewed for A level Business, you would pay 1x the fee shown, for all 3 papers, you would pay 3x the fee, and so on.
All fees must be paid prior to the processing of your application. We ask students to pay via parent pay, as it’s the easiest way to enable us to refund any money following a successful review. School no longer accepts cheques or cash.
