’19 ways to capture life after lockdown, Photography competition

Last term the Art Department launched a photography competition across the school to promote wellbeing and the end of lockdown. This has been a very difficult year and we wanted to focus on some positivity. The response was fantastic and we were very impressed with the standard of the photos submitted.
We were very lucky to have local Photographer Andrew Ogilvy on the judging panel along with Georgia Mazower, Mayor of Chipping Norton. After long deliberation the winner and runners up were chosen. We would like to say a huge congratulations to the following students:
Tom Seaton (First prize)
Emily Monelle (Second prize)
Carys Silverthorne-Wright (Third prize)
Jack Loweth (Fourth prize)
Millie Benfield (Fifth prize).

To celebrate the success of the competition and showcase the amazing photographs submitted they will now be displayed in a number of shop windows around Chipping Norton over the summer holidays.
A map outlining the photography trail showing the shops and businesses displaying the students’ work. can be viewed on the school facebook page. Photographs can be seen in the following local businesses: Mr Simms’ Olde Sweet Shoppe, The Crown and Cushion, Cotswold Newsagents, Wild At Heart, Mighty Pie Company, Mash Lifestyle, Sue Ryder, Nash’s Bakery, The Tea Set, Tickittyboo, Bippity Boo and The Fibreworks.

We would like to say a huge thank you to those who took part in the competition, to the shops and businesses that have agreed to display the work, to Kopyrite Printers who printed off all the photos free of charge and finally the wonderful judges.
