To mark Armistice Day this year we broadcast a live assembly to students, parents and some local care homes. Students representing our four houses read a selection of poetry from Siegfried Sassoon and Dylan Thomas, and extracts from ‘The Diary of a Young Girl’ (Anne Frank) and Private Edward Stewart’s letter home from 1916. The school’s brass ensemble played ‘The Last Post’ and ‘Taps’  to mark the start and finish of our 2 minute silence.  All the students and musicians read and played with utmost respect for this important and significant occasion.
