A level Maths
Year 12 & 13
‘A’ level Maths & Further Maths is delivered by following the Edexcel specification. Students achieve success by working hard and completing lots and lots of questions. The 3 overarching themes of the course are;
- Mathematical argument, language and proof.
- Mathematical problem solving.
- Mathematical modelling.
Students will be required to select and correctly carry out routine procedures, accurately recall facts, terminology and definitions. ‘A’ level mathematicians will need to construct rigorous mathematical arguments (including proofs), make deductions and inferences, assess the validity of mathematical arguments, explain their reasoning, use of mathematical language and notation correctly.
