  • providing support at various events throughout the year
  • enabling parents to play an active role in the life of the school

Supporting teaching and learning

We hold a number of fund-raising events throughout the year and funds raised have contributed to:

  • purchase of dictionairies for the English dept.
  • voice recorders for students to use in Languages
  • a laser cutter & filter for D&T dept.
  • easels for Art
  • visualisers for Science, English and Design
  • match kits for PE
  • Sixth Form team building day

Supporting the school community

With help from pupils, we serve refreshments in the school hall during evening events, including Parent Teacher Consultation evenings. Please come along and have a drink and a biscuit.

Playing an active role

Following the PTA AGM in May, we are delighted to announce that the PTA now has a new Chair (John Rux Burton), Secretary (Tanya Harrington) and Treasurer (Lorna Bennett) as well as new Committee members. We are keen for the PTA to exist both as a fundraising body and as a means of strengthening links between the school staff, pupils, parents and the wider community. We already have some exciting ideas for future events and other fundraising opportunities and are keen to involve as many parents as possible in our shared goal of helping the school be the best it can be. With that in mind, we’d like to invite everyone along to our next meeting on Tuesday, July 10th at 7pm in the school conference room. Come along to share your ideas and help us launch this exciting new iteration of the PTA. If you are not able to attend the meeting but would like to be involved, please contact the school office at [email protected]

Get involved

We welcome offers of help from parents across a variety of activities, including:

  • ideas for fundraising or social events
  • helping with refreshments
  • attending occasional committee meetings
