December saw the eagerly awaited return of Chipping Norton School opening our doors for the school musical, a production of Dennis Kelly and Tim Minchin’s, ‘Matilda’. The students involved worked incredibly hard, dedicating three nights a week to learning songs, choreography and theatrical blocking to create one of the most enjoyable shows CNS have produced. 

The matinée performance to some local primary schools and the three show nights went as perfectly as we could have wished for. The students gave everything to each performance and the rapturous applause received every night was a testament to that.

The money received from the ticket sales will be used to develop our performance capability in the future. For this production we begged and borrowed equipment from the head mics, to the wood for the set. We hope to now be able to purchase our own set of radio mics and a new lighting desk.
