On Saturday 11th and Sunday 12th May, Year 11 student Harvey O’Brien displayed his GCSE Design and Technology project at the NEC Birmingham, at the Makers Central Exhibition.
Harvey is sponsored by Milliput, manufacturers of coloured resins that can be used with wood. Harvey uses these resins in many of his projects and Milliput then use Harvey’s projects to illustrate to customers how the material can be used.
Mr Crudge (CNS D & T Department) commented, “Harvey is one of the most talented practical students I have taught. His table which can be seen below, is technically extremely challenging and made to a high standard that many craftspeople would find difficult to make!”
There were many people at the exhibition who were keen to meet Harvey and discuss his projects with him. Harvey’s work can also be seen on Youtube
