Our Year 7 students have had a fantastic few weeks in West Oxfordshire competitions.
Firstly, our girls swam remarkably well in their gala held at Chipping Norton Leisure Centre. The events ranged from individual races in freestyle, breaststroke, fly and backstroke to the medley. Overall the girls finished in first place and now go on to represent us in the County event at Radley School in July.
The boys’ indoor athletics team also matched the girls in winning their competi…tion at Marlborough School. They did themselves proud throwing, jumping and running past all the other schools to go onto the county competition at Oxford in April.
The boys’ rugby team also did well in their recent tournament. Paired with Woodgreen and Bartholomew in the group stages some outstanding rugby meant they scored a total of 6 tries while only conceding 1 ensuring a place in the final against home team Burford. They were very quick to start and after conceding 3 tries sustained pressure toward the end gave us a deserved try to mean that CNS finished worthy runners up.
