The Beyond Boundaries project, originally funded by the University of Oxford Diversity Fund, aims to increase the visibility of Oxford’s Black, Asian and Minority Ethnic (BAME) scientists and mathematicians, bridge the perceived divide between science and art, and further connect schools and local communities with the University. Students were challenged to create a piece of artwork inspired by research from six BAME scientists.
Eva’s artwork titled ‘Forcipomyia -the Mighty Midge’ was inspired by Ache Atta-Boeteng’s research into the role these tiny insects play in pollinating the Cacao trees in Ghana.
