At the beginning of December students completed a 5km fun run in their PE lessons, raising money for Katharine House Hospice. All the students that participated in the run received house points for participation. The event may have been cold, but it was great fun too and the school has raised over £750 for an excellent cause.
In the run up to Christmas, students raised over £1500 for Aspire, a local charity that empowers people facing homelessness, poverty and disadvantage. £900 was raised by creating Christmassy coin sculptures and £600 from our annual Christmas Jumper/Non-uniform Day.
We are very grateful to our students and families for generously supporting these two charities.
