Our student leaders work hard throughout the year to improve our school and its community. As a reward for their efforts we were delighted to be able to offer them an exciting opportunity to visit London and the Houses of Parliament last Friday.

The students were hosted by the Parliamentary Education Service and the students enjoyed an unforgettable tour of The Palace of Westminster, visiting both The House of Commons and The House of Lords, Central Lobby, and Westminster Hall. After the tour the students were challenged to create a petition related to a pressing health, education, transport or Science/technology issue for consideration by the UK Parliament. Prior to visiting the Palace of Westminster, the students enjoyed an artistic treasure hunt around the National Gallery.

The trip was a great success and our students, who were a credit to our school, will never forget the experience of visiting one of the world’s most famous institutions. Thank you to Miss Skill for organising this wonderful activity.
