The Art Department and ‘The Arts Society Cotswold’ have been successfully collaborating for a number of years to offer a bursary for one Year 13 Art student – kindly donated by TASC.
Each year Art candidates are interviewed about their higher arts education choices and one candidate is then chosen to receive this prestigious award. The bursary can be used towards equipment and books to help the student successfully start their higher education in the arts.

It was a very difficult choice this year for TASC as the calibre of our Year 13 Art students is incredibly high. However, the Art Department is very pleased to announce that this year’s recipient of the bursary is Sophie Tate. The announcement was made at the recent KS5 celebration evening by TASC Chairman, Carolyn Walton, and Sophie will be attending an awards ceremony in Burford later this year to officially receive her bursary, with members of TASC having a chance to see some of Sophie’s work and discuss her ideas and future plans. Congratulations, Sophie!
