Dear Parents and Carers

Officially, it is a new term and year and we look forward to seeing your children in the coming days. Just a few quick reminders from me today, and some good news to share.

Asymptomatic Testing Update 

Please remember that all accompanying adults should stay in their car / off-site and not accompany their children on to the site. On arrival, staff will be clearly visible to show students where to go and what to do.

Please be aware:

• Students are urged to avoid eating 30 minutes before their test.
• Anyone who has tested positive for COVID-19 should not take part in lateral flow tests for 90 days.
• Students are likely to be on our site for about 5-15 minutes, but no more than 30 minutes.
• We shall make personal contact with you when a void or positive test result is recorded. If families do not receive contact from us (within an hour of the test) then they can presume the result was negative.
• We shall distribute a home test kit to every student as they leave on Thursday and Friday. Further kits will be distributed to all students next week.

School Canteen

This will be back up and running next week and I have been asked to urge all families to top-up accounts in advance. The new dining room for years 10 and 11 students will also be open.

Congratulations

It is always good to start the term with further good news on students’ performance: Ethan Bissett, Zoe Robertson, Sebastian Harvey and Emma Reed have all received a £400 bursary from the Burford Young Arts Society. Please look out for some images of their amazing work on our Facebook page.
